Speaking
to the Unprecedented Multitude Members of Labour Party, members of the fourth estate
of the realm and the general public at the Baptist Convention Ground,
Television Road, Benin City, Edo State, South South, Nigeria the former
Executive Governor of Anambra State and the Presidential Candidate of Labour
Party (LP) during the Presidential election of 2023, His Excellency Mr. Peter
Obi States that Labour Party is the first political party in the Republic to
have a woman in the person of Senator Esther Nenadi Usman as the National
Caretaker Committee Chairperson averring that in the last 63 years ago that no
political party in the republic has ever had a woman as her chairperson as he
also added Labour Party thinks of gender considerations in offering positions
to members.
Speaking further he states that Labour Party has a template of
providing good governance as exemplified by His Excellency Mr. Alex Otti of
Abia State adding that he is employing all and sundry to come out on Saturday, 21st September,
2024 and largely cast their votes for
the candidates of Labour Party Barr. Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata and Barr. Kadiri
so that the needed dividends of democracy for the downtrodden masses shall be
freely provided. He adds that the whole essence of governance is to purely
protect lives and property of the citizenry. Speaking to the audience the Labour
Party Gubernatorial Candidate Barr. Akpata states that he and his Deputy Governorship
Candidate Barr. Kadiri are celestially ready and prepared to rule Edo State
with the provisions of all the basic amenities that make life livable in all
ramifications resonating that they are radically prepared to end the sad and
ugly narratives of the ruler ship of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All
Progressives Congress (APC) in the last 25 years which has being heavy
monumental failure as regards the index of developments in the land. He tells the
audience that the present Governor of Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki
administration receives N16 billion allocation from the coffers of the Federal
Government, yet, Edo State has borrowed loans to the tune of N600 billion. He states that of all these
monies borrowed that there are not tangible development streaks to write home
about of these aforementioned monies. He tells the audience that the governor of
Abia State has given out N1 billion
interest free loan to market women and
men averring that if by the grace of God of Prophets and Apostles he becomes the next Governor of Edo State that he will do up
to N2 billion interest free loan to
market women and men. He greeted all the different tribes that gathered at the
rally ground in their own dialects. He states that come Saturday 21st
September, 2024 shall be freedom day for all Edolites as he and his deputy
governor occupy the Government House Dennis Osadebe Avenue, G.R.A, Benin City. He
critically and comparatively goads all the electorate to cast their votes for
him and his deputy governor brother Kadiri. He states that he has garnered
about 31 years experiences as a lawyer and at one time he called the shots at
the NBA as the chairman while his deputy governor brother Kadiri has also
gathered about 30 years of experiences
as a lawyer and he is a SAN.
Speaking
with Iconblazemagazineonline the Former National Treasurer Oluchi Oparah states
that she is heavily confident that her party shall clinch the victory when the
result of the governorship election shall be announced by INEC adding that they
are already in the spirit of celebrations come September 22nd, 2024.
One Alhaji Yusuf of Ward 4 Ikpoba Okha LGA did lead his Arewa brothers and
sisters to decamp from APC to Labour Party and the leadership of Labour Party received
them with love as they publicly handed over Labour Party flag to him. He assured
that their votes are for Barr. Akpata. Several speakers did speak to the
audience goading them to come out in their large numbers to cast their votes
for Barr. Akpata and Barr. Kadiri.
