Speaking
to the members of the fourth estate of the realm at Protea Hotel, G.R.A, Benin
City, Edo State, South-South, Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress (APC)
National Deputy Treasurer Hon. Omorede Osifo, alongside with Ambassador Western
Iyamu, the convener of the Diaspora Friends of Senator Monday Okpebhole the
gubernatorial candidate for APC of the governorship election come Saturday,
September 21st, 2024 states that they have graciously came out to grant educational supports to
about 60 children and as well as empower women with palliatives averring that the event is with a theme “A New Edo Rising” which pleasantly did take place on a Monday, 16th
September, 2024.
Furthermore she emphasized that the event as part of a broader
strategy to garner supports for the APC governorship candidate in the upcoming September
21st, 2024 gubernatorial election adding that they are here to
demonstrate what they can do in support of their incoming governor. She adds
that the empowerment initiative is purely designed to help women support their children’s
education by providing financial assistance to enable them purchase school
supplies thereby reducing the economic pangs on families as schools resume this
month September.
She adds that about 60 children are randomly selected to receive
the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira Only (N20,000,00)
each to help out with school related expenses. Hon. Osifo did praise Senator
Okpebholo describing him as the “Akpakomessiah”
a heavy compassionate leader committed to the well-being of the citizenry. She
avers that he cares about them and that is why he is investing in the children’s
education. She says that they are confident he shall do even greater things
than former Comrade Governor Adams Eric Oshiomhole. She avers again that the
empowerment initiative also aims to meeting with the needs of women in the
state. In her words “Our women need support,
not just for their children, but, also to put food on their table”.
She expresses
confidence in the APC candidate highlighting his alignment with the party’s
agenda to improve on education and social welfare. Ambassador Western Iyamu
states that they came up with the ideas and ideals of converting monies that
they would have been expended on political materials like Face caps, T-shirt’s
et’al into palliatives for women adding that food is very important to the wellbeing
and development of body anatomy. He adds that they have great confidence that
the electorate shall come out in their large numbers on Saturday, 21st
September, 2024 to cast their votes for Senator Okpebholo. Speaking with

Dennis Idahosa Campaign Council, Egor Local Government Area Hon. Harry Edoseghe
Omoregbe states that the initiatives and innovations behind the educational
grants and women empowerment day is very, very, very timely and apt as the
governorship election is very much
around the corner adding that he is calling on all electorate to heavily
come out on Saturday, 21st September, 2024 and largely cast their
votes for Senator Okpebholo and Hon. Idahosa.
