FEATURES: TRAVELOGUE, THE FG SHOULD DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY ON BENIN AUCHI EXPRESSWAY ROADS

On Friday, September Twenty, Twenty Twenty Four we bordered a commuter bus from Auchi Bypass Along Aduwawa Road Benin City Edo State, South South, Nigeria to Auchi of Estako West Local Government Area of Edo State for the purposes of covering 2024 Gubernatorial Election of Saturday, September 21st, 2024. 

We did take off at about 9am in the morning and behold as the journey progressed. 

We did begin to encounter extremely bad roads from Ehor Community and of a truth from that place to Auchi are heavy presence of dilapidated portions of bad roads.

We experienced on the way are something else. The litany of trailers coming down from northern states are at everywhere and there constitute heavy hold up gridlock which normally slow down vehicular traffic movements. 

The Bua Cement Company has started palliative repairs at Ukpenu, Ekpoma of Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State where trailers and other motorists sleep for days because often times trailers fell down there regularly thereby causing untold hardships and heavy blockade of traffic hold up. 

The Benin Auchi Expressway Roads is the only link road Connecting Benin City and Northern States, therefore, this writer is pragmatically and assiduously a Clarion call to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT), Hon Minister of Roads and Bridges Engr. David Umahi, Senator Monday Okpebholo governor elect of Edo State, Senate President HE Goodwill Akpabio, Senator Adams Eric Oshiomhole et 'al to quickly and speedily begin the needed rehabilitations of the said Benin Auchi Expressway Roads because the road is very important to all and sundry. 

As leaders their lives and aspirations are no longer theirs because they now belong to flocks (downtrodden masses) and directed by eventualities, so when times get hard and uncertain the leaders should rise up to the occasion to provide strong and directional leadership streaks to salvage the situations and by extension give heavy courage to the left to act aright. It is not over until it is over.
